The Beta is designed for cold water metering in domestic and industrial applications. It has a multi-jet turbine, with an epoxy coated brass body (cast iron on the Beta 50) and a super dry dial for frost resistant operation. The internal, wetted, components conform to EEC drinking water directive 75/33 and it is certified to Class B for accuracy. It can be operated horizontally or vertically. It is fitted with an integral strainer to prevent entry of large particles and a tamper evident wire lock and seal. Remote meter reading can be achieved by specifying the optional extras of pulse output and LCD counter.
